  • A Star-Spangled Surprise for our participants in Brussels! 🇺🇸

With everything happening in the U.S. right now—political shifts, regulatory changes, and ripple effects across global markets—investment screening has never been more relevant. We know people are eager to understand what’s next, and we’re here to deliver.

On Thursday, we’re closing out the day with "The Final Pour Trends & Talks on the U.S" featuring none other than John Kabealo, our house expert on U.S. investment screening. Over a glass of champagne, John will break down the latest challenges in the field, from post-election shifts to regulatory shake-ups and everything in between.

John Kabealo founded Kabealo Law in 2018 to provide top-tier national security regulatory expertise. A former M&A attorney at Skadden, he later specialized in CFIUS and export controls.

Regularly cited in major publications, such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Marketplace, John has contributed to leading industry journals and spoken at top conferences. In 2024, Chambers recognized him as a top CFIUS attorney, making him the only small-firm lawyer to earn a Band 2 ranking.
